. . . Camera! Action!

Sat Mar 28, 2009, 5:14 PM
Howdy hey my fine fury friends :)

I'm putting out the call for "actors". Basically I need some people to pose for scenes and such for what I'm calling a "Live Action Comic" (LAC for short). The exact details of the script are secret as I want to release this as one completed project. You don't need to rehearse lines or anything, just dress up and pose in some scenes. I will edit this journal entry with a list of roles to be filled but for now I just need people to show interest for me :) **EDIT** (I'm looking at all you brissy cosplayers!!! :P)

At the end of the project, full credit will be given to those who participated and a special thanks to the script writer! (just keep quiet for now, you know who you are hahaha).

One more thing. I really do think this can be done exceptionally well and when this LAC project is finished I would certainly like to do another one.

Sidenote: I now officially replace the word 'actor' with 'LACy' *insert whimsical evil overlord scene here*

Character Roles:

Lord Hokaido Teru (male)

Maid (preferably female)

Guard (doesn't matter)

Kurosawa Yuichi (short male or female)

ANZAC's

We, as an Australian (myself aussie) and New Zealand people, are proud of our ancestors and the aid they provided in the past in times of conflict. . .

Today I had aptitude testing for the Australian Defense Force (ADF). Unfortunately they require fully qualified trades persons for the likes of carpenter, boilermaker (my trade technically) and other various civilian trades. So as my options given to me, I am aiming for the army and with it these two jobs, first preference and second: Telecommunication System Operator and Electronic Warfare Specialist.

There is still yet a full assessment day to be had with a full medical, physical and psych. If I am accepted, it's 80 days at kapooka outside Wagga Wagga. After that, it's unrestricted service which means after that 80 days I get picked up and taken to wherever they want me :)

Just a heads up so none of you go "where the fuck is woody?" hahaha. Thank you all you scally wags and swamp hags ;) I love you all

Comissions

Fri Feb 6, 2009, 11:22 PM
***Notice to all, the price of steel is finally coming down and at a rapid rate. Quotes given at the time are still final and will not be "readjusted" to the price of steel. If you are given a quote tomorrow for say $40 and the day after the price of steel falls, the quote stands, if it goes up the quote stands. Thanks for your understanding :)***

Greetings to you one and all.

This is notice that I am opening up commissions for swords and ornamental (picture frames, candle holders etc.) wrought iron work. I'm going to list conditions if you want something made as to be fair on both you and me since the work is not always easy.

Conditions:
1. A deposit of 20% of the quoted price must be paid before work commences
2. quoted price is final
3. upon completion, the remainder of the balance must be paid in order to receive the finished item
4. A sketch or picture must be supplied before work is started. Once the deposit is paid you can not alter or change on the agreed sketch/picture
5. Electronic funds transfer can be done but cash is preferred. If you cannot pay in full, contact me as to why and we can work out a payment plan but condition number 3 will still be upheld in the sense that the product must be fully paid for before receiving it
6. Pictures of the finished product will be uploaded here for everyone to see

This just makes it easier on me and you so there isn't any "he said she said" and we all stay happy :)

I will be uploading pictures of some work I have done in the past for friends and family. (Links below separated into Swords and Ornaments)

Also due to other commitments such as work and training it may or may not take me longer to finish a piece since I will be doing this during my spare time. I also will not make "replica" weaponry from games/movies/tv etc. due to copyright unless explicit consent is given from the copyright holder.

Loss for the win?

Gals n Guys, how are we all?

Sadly, my car as much as a shit box as it was I loved dearly is awaiting the call from the doctor (insurance company) as I was in a car accident friday morning (tear). But as it was not my fault as the events played out I may be getting a new cheaper to run 4 cylinder car, I may not. For now, lilly pad is on one of those clear plastic baggies with translucent goo.

Also, I started making my own phatties for raves this year. I'll upload pics of them when I'm done.

Thank you kindly people

!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT !!!!!!!!!!!
small update. Armour cosplay machine is near completion, testing day is this saturday. I may have a guyver cosplay done for mini bris. i may not, depends how my modeler goes (props to you bro). Other than that its all hands on deck. Epic is on the way lol

I have finally stopped procrastinating about writing another meaningless journal =D

First up. Sydney Animania. My first sydney animania and I can say that I will no longer be attending animania brisbane barring entry into WCS when I get to that level of cosplay skill. Sydmain was huge, waited in line for an hour (should've pre-reg) but got inside and it was huge. Had a lot of down points though that have been more than covered and glomped in the animania forum itself so no need to list them here. by the by, sunday I wont 1st place Best Male cosplay, i almosted exploded from shock lol but the best part was meeting new friends =D heaps of awesome people down in sydney.

Work. well, it's work lol. Working overtime to finally pay off that speeding fine I got at the start of the year lol $750 up the ass!

On the cosplay side of things. Stormwarden and I have combined our traddie skillzorz of blacksmithing (yours truly) and electrocution (stormy himself) to make... a machine that will help us the course of armour cosplay and general cosplay pieces that are hard to make from paper mash or clay or whatever. Cheap process too, more on that later when we get it up and running. still in construction phase and moving onto testing phase in the next few weeks *fingers crossed and double crossed if your a ninja*

So yeah.....*explodes*....

Thats pretty much it, Thank you all for coming, especially if you came twice or three times ;) hahahaha!
