Originally a Roasting Spit (one of three identical pieces) for a customer. We made the twisted handle too long, the point was too long and the C-Scrolls weren't big enough. So we made him new ones and he took 2 of the "wrong" ones. I got to keep the other one!!!!!!!!!
The points were placed in a furnace (propane). The points were then leathered out on the anvil (an old one of the my boss' father) then placed back into the furnace. Then quenched in black oil for a really hard point. Stamped into the metal on one side is "AKUMA SENSHI" and on the other side "ORNAMENTAL ONLY" so if the cops see it hanging in the house I don't get done for it. |
