Artist's Comments
This is a dragonfly, no not accurate to the actual structure by any means. Made from sheet metal, it was a large butterfly (hence the patterns on the wings) that I cut down. A quick simple project that I think turned out rather well. I used some carnation red patina and wiped it on with a rag during my lunch break. A small but powerful magnet has been glued to the back so it can be used as a fridge magnet or to sit onto any ornamental wrought iron piece.

 A real good job there mate! Truley stunning! You know - instead of adding those bumps, you could leave them flat and either fit some glass pebbles or some other such decoration to appeal to your girlish masses! Girls do like the Shinies! and imaging going out on your date and presenting a trulet stunning dragonfly with lots of shinies and patterns on it!
Also, mabey you could ask my sis to paint one for you!  - she does a good job with dragons as you prbably have seen And get some awesome ave pants whilst your at it! (Shamless advertising for sister ends here! ) and thats Rave Pants in the last line - stupid unable-to-edit-last-post tool....
